The Underlying Cause of Addiction - Neurotransmission Disease
Dr Lefever created the first rehabilitation centre in the world to treat ALL addictions. In the UK he was also the first to:
- treat patients with eating disorders alongside those with drug and alcohol problems.
- treat compulsive gambling, internet addiction and workaholism.
- identify and treat compulsive helping.
He is regarded as the pioneer of modern addiction treatment methods in rehab centres in the UK. In the last 26 years he has worked with over 5000 inpatients suffering from various forms of addictive and compulsive behaviour as well as stress and depression. He identified the Lefever Clusters of Addictive Behaviours (Hedonistic, Nurturing of Self, Relationships), as well as 4 of the 12 specific characteristics of addiction.

I’m sorry but I’m gonna vent. Why the hell am I still alive? I’ve attempted so many times but it’s just never enough. I’m pretty pissed off that I’m still alive. I can’t spend 5 minutes without thinking about killing myself. And when I’m not thinking about killing myself, I’m sitting there with a needle digging into my skin. I basically give up on recovery. Nothing will work. And when I do die, it’ll probably only last a couple minutes of people crying. Crying because I’m a terrible person and not that I died. Or just happy tears. I can’t even write a suicide note because my parents will read it and what if the attempt doesn’t work?! Apparently because I’m young, I’m “faking” all my mental health issues. (I’m 11) and who the actual hell cares if I die? UA-camrs are always being like “don’t kill yourself! Be happy! Stop being depressed! Don’t cut yourself!” That’s like telling a blind person to see, and a smoker to stop their addiction. I think that if I die, I deserve it. Here’s an example. One time one of my closest friends lied for several months about having to leave to California next year. He finally told us he was just lying and I was so fǔçķĩñġ mad at him that I kicked him. I broke down in tears and just sat there on the grass and grabbed the safety pin out of my pocket. Thats one reason I self harm. I deserve it. I’m really sorry for venting randomly and if you think I’m being a drama queen. Again, I’m really really sorry I vented. :(

It’s 2 months now, I hope you are okay, especially for being 11 it must be stressful. I am terribly sorry you have to feel that way. Please just know there are many who care but you just may not know it, I know you may feel like you deserve to feel pain for whatever you did, but no. It may feel like you deserve it, but you are pretty youn and it’s sad to know you are thinking about su1c1de and hurting yourself at a young age, but so many better things can occur in the future. Even if it may seem like everything is hard right now, trust me, one day it will get better <3 I hope you are able to get help that is needed and recover soon, it may take a while but I believe in you :)

There is the truth I was looking for. Thank you for this! However, the problem is, there is only one God. He told you this when He said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one will come to the Father(God) but by me."! He is the father of all creation in human form. Yeshua the Nazerene died for our sins because in front of the God of truth, justice, and order, all have fallen short of His glory. You see God's order every day you wake up. It's photosynthesis, it's gravity, it's the eye you are reading this through. His hand is on every created being. Most of all it's in our DNA. That's what makes us what we are, and that's where His intelligent design is masterful.

I got a dream when I'm on battlefield crawling, someone beats me in kidneys and I pull smth from my mouth like brown blob but it's a string then someone kills me and I wake up. Second dream with my ex, useless emotional confusion from this but. I often almost die in my dreams or fight for life in surreal environments with surreal creatures. Most days I don't remember them but nights like this are fueling my rage like x 10 during day. Ahhh🎉 lovely brain

Yeah. No. 4:00 minutes in and the first suggestion to break the addiction is "twelve step program." F that. I'm at three months quit and still use one 2mg nicotine lozenge in the morning. I got this far by myself knowing I am the only one I'm going to disappoint if I start again.
